TECO Group was invited to participate in the 115 Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) Alliance Forum, themed“Net-Zero Solar, Energy Savings, Building Efficiency, and Resilience Governance.”The forum brought together Vice Premier Cheng Li-Chun, Minister of Environment Peng Chi-Ming, TECO Group Chairman Morris Li, along with CSO representatives from central and local governments, state-owned enterprises, and industry leaders to explore public-private collaboration pathways toward the 2050 net-zero transition.
During the forum, Scott H. Chen, Chairman of YATEC Engineering and President of TECO Group’s Energy & System Automation Business Group, shared TECO’s achievements in energy savings. Leveraging domain knowledge of operational behaviors, site-specific patterns, and key energy-consumption factors across different environments, TECO delivers integrated energy-saving solutions designed for continuous optimization and measurable impact.
Scott H. Chen highlighted TECO’s large-scale project with Tzu Chi Hospitals, where systematic energy-saving planning was implemented across five major systems—HVAC, power, medical gases, lighting, and electrical infrastructure. Through an EMS platform connecting seven hospital campuses nationwide, TECO established an energy governance framework that is visible, quantifiable, and zone-manageable. The project is expected to achieve 12.24 million kWh in annual electricity savings and 5,803 tons of carbon reduction.
Facing the long-term challenge of 2050 net-zero emissions, TECO and YATEC will continue to deepen one-stop energy services, working alongside government, state-owned businesses and industry partners to accelerate Taiwan’s transition toward a low-carbon and sustainable future.
